Scaramouche

Scaramouche (literally “little skirmisher”) is a character of the Italian Commedia Dell’Arte. The role combined characteristics of the Zanni (servant) and the Captino.

Another misfit, who also gets into trouble with the Secret Police, Scaramouche meets Galileo in hospital and they run away together. Her sharp wit keeps Galileo (or Gazza as she names him) on his toes.
